The core of the Tropf-Blumat system is a controller with humidity sensor and valve and also functions as a dripper.

Tropf-Blumat operates automatically. When the soil becomes dry, its suction power triggers the watering process. The built-in membrane in the Tropf-Blumat opens, allowing the water flow. When the soil is sufficiently moistened, it automatically stops dispensing water. Each Tropf-Blumat sensor reacts completely independently. It takes sunlight, air temperature, humidity, and plant growth into account.
